Where’s Bosco travel blog has a new look

Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!

Where’s Bosco Now has changed its look! I know that many of you are thinking it’s about time and you would be correct. I first put up the blog in 2012 and a lot has changed in the blog world since then. Styles have changed for sure, but more than that the technology and marketing  have changed immeasurably. Not that I know much more about it that stuff than I did six years ago but “I have people”.

My friend Barbara Weibel who has had her blog – Hole in the Donut – up for about ten years has been helping me to make the necessary changes in my blog design. More than that, she has been begun to teach me the steps necessary to gaining a wider audience. You can teach an old dog new tricks but it sure isn’t easy…Barbara is using the carrot and stick method  –in one hand she has a plate of chicken fried rice (yumm) and in the other a cattle prod. We are making progress.

We have made big changes at Where’s Bosco Travel Blog!

First you will notice that there has been a name change. Gone is Where’s Bosco Now and it is replaced with Where’s Bosco. Now that is a daring change of direction! I made this change because half the time I don’t know where I am and thought it unfair to ask a question if I didn’t know the answer.

Next I have changed the look. I am trying to make it look cleaner, crisper, easier to read, and dare I say more hip. To this end,  even the photographs have a new look…they are larger and more prominent in the post and I hope much improved.

I am also expanding the focus. You will see beside the original categories of  Travel and Photography new categories – Lifestyle, Books, and Tech/Gear.  Destination post where I explore new locations and cultures will still fall under travel and be the main focus. However, many of my readers are curious about Expat Life abroad and post written for the other categories may help answer some of your questions. Several questions I am consistently asked – what do you do with your time and how do you live out of one small suitcase. Besides sometimes writing my blog, I read voraciously. That is why you will see the reading tab and I will share with you the great travel, how to and new fiction I discover. Tech/Gear will cover the electronics, luggage, clothing and the general “stuff” that makes life on the road easier  For those of you who may be dreaming about being expats or for the lucky one already planning to make a move I will attempt to answer the question – how do you do it.

So there you have it…new name, new look and new content! I hope you like the effort and feel free to comment on the look and content of the blog. You may even wish to offer suggestions and God forbid, your complaints.  To my faithful readers who have visited my site over the past six years and offered comments and encouragement many, many thanks. For newer readers I say welcome and I hope you will stick around.
